WHAT WAN-BISSAKA SAID
"It was a no brainer for me to join West Ham – I’m excited and happy to be here," the 26-year-old told West Ham's official website. "I can’t wait to get on the pitch, get to know the players, and push on from there. I see a team that is in it together, that will push each other to win, and a group that has got each others' backs through thick and thin, so being part of that and having that insurance helps a lot when you are surrounded by a good squad."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Wan-Bissaka departs after an overall underwhelming spell on United's books. He was billed as England's next great right-back when he signed for £50m ($64m) from Crystal Palace in 2019 but his lack of ability going forward soon became evident and he eventually lost his place in the team to Diogo Dalot.

DID YOU KNOW?
In his last three seasons with the club, Wan-Bissaka started less than half of United's Premier League games. He departs with two medals, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the 2024 FA Cup.
