  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Per The Athletic, Arsenal have reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Setford. The England Under-20 international is set to move to the club this summer and sign an initial four-year contract.

  THE BIGGER PICTURE

  Setford is an England youth international, winning caps from Under-16 level, and Arsenal have been in the market for young goalkeepers this summer. Three youth stoppers, including Arthur Okonkwo, who joined Wrexham, have been released, and Setford has been identified as a replacement.

  Arsenal are also in the market for a senior goalkeeper to provide back-up to David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale. They have had a bid rejected for Wolves understudy Dan Bentley.
